Enchanting UAE

I just came back from a wonderful trip in the UAE and I've received many comments and questions on Instagram after posting some pictures...Here is the full blog post.

The highlights of the trip were:

Le Louvre Abu Dhabi: Built by Jean Nouvel and established on November 8th 2017. The museum is part of a thirty-year agreement between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government. The museum is beautifully designed as a "seemingly floating dome structure"; its web-patterned dome allowing the sun to filter through. Must do: have a drink while facing the sea and enjoying the fresh breeze thanks to the dome structure.

Then we headed to the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Designed to accommodate up to 40'000 worshippers it was finished in 2007 and is the largest moque in UAE and the largest marble structure in the world. I just dream of going back to visit it again. I highly recommend a sunset visit. You get to enjoy the different colours as the sun goes down. Unique and enchanting.

The last part of the trip was an unparalleled experience amid the mystic desert charm of Abu Dhabi’s Empty Quarter. Two hours drive from Abu Dhabi and there you are in the legendary Rub'Al Khali, the largest uninterrupted sand desert in the world. All you can see is dunes after dunes. Must do!
